While studying engineering I often joked about how I just needed a bit more time to finish my Time-Slowing-Down-Machine. Then I would have enough time to get through the assignments, sport, parties, etc.

The Time-Slowing-Down-Machine is not done yet. There might be some physics in the way.

However, even though you can't slow time down, you can stop a lot of what wastes it. Focusing discussion on what matters. Making decisions easier and therefore faster. Prioritising what really turns the dial, and letting go of the rest. Those are all obvious practices, but in most organisations they are not easy. Skala is the tool to make it easy.

So, we have one mission: One billion hours saved every year.

Will we get there? It won't be easy. But hey, even 1% of the way there is something like 10 million fewer meetings a year. Now that's something everyone can enjoy.

    Want your hours back?

    From Our Founder

I've spent almost two decades across dozens of teams designing, building and flying aerospace products. From rescue helicopters to the world's fastest highest flying remotely piloted aircraft, I encountered a common trend. In many organisations, we routinely put smart people in a room, and they somehow come out dumber. We call these sessions meetings.

"Building the spaceplane was hard. But the genuinely hard problems weren't technology problems. They were people-working-together problems."

I watched brilliant engineers lose days to meetings without objectives, decisions that never got recorded, and information scattered across a half dozen tools.

Skala is structure and discipline, made light enough for everyone. Every decision has an owner and a record. Projects, tasks and comms are organised. Structure is what lets teams move impossibly fast. Skala adds enough to harmonise everything, without crossing into bureaucracy territory.

I've wanted this tool my whole career. When working with people becomes leveraging their skills, their knowledge and their network, days become so much more productive, and so much more satisfying.

People are your most valuable asset. Skala makes their collaboration your organisation's superpower.

Also, we're just getting started. Skala will become the system of record for your entire organisation. But it starts where the chaos is loudest: your next meeting.
